Gorgeous Dresses & Gowns in Monochrome

Posted on April 24, 2014 by Shirley T.

Sorry we have been away for so long, but life is busy and just got in the way. We here at Fraiche have been busy sourcing more gowns and dresses to help you dress in the office, to go out for dinner and drinks, and for formal events.

If you drop by our stores, you will see that we have some monochrome prints in stock. We often get asked how to wear these dresses - most women seem to know that prints can be attention grabbing, and tone down the accessories with them. However, plain accessories with monochromes lack ooomph.

Our advice is, if you wear a monochrome print dress, you can let loose with color on your accessories. You can add a belt to emphasize form, or go with some elaborate jewelry with matching shoes (high, low or platform). A dressed up monochrome print dress is great for the office, and can make the transition to drinks after!

Drop by our stores in Singapore (Raffles City and United Square) and see our collection of gowns from Adrianna Papell, Aidan Mattox, Sue Wong and Nicole Miller (among others).

With love,

Our Current Muse - July 2012

Posted on July 04, 2012 by Shirley T.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know who Emma Stone is. The sunny 23 year old is an exciting blend of laughter, wittiness and easy-going beauty, the perfect embodiment as our current muse.

Interesting fact: She is the current love interest of Spider-man, both on-screen and off-screen!

Q & A With FRAÎCHE

Posted on May 10, 2012 by Shirley T.

Welcome!

For my first blog post, I have created a FAQ to tell you more about FRAÎCHE.

Q: Do you have more items in your stores than you have online?

A: Yes! At the moment, the items on our website only represent a teeny, tiny portion of the clothing we have in-store. We carry office wear (dresses) targeted towards professionals, office suits, casual wear and occasion wear (cocktail dresses and gowns).

Q: What is Mico and Kyra?

A: Mico is a clothing store that has been in continuous operation since 1976. Kyra is a sister company that began its roots in 2005. With over 35 years of experience in the clothing business, we have always provided quality clothing, paying great attention to the cut and the fit of our clothing.

Q: Why did you come up with the FRAÎCHE line of clothing?

A: FRAÎCHE originally started as a line of clothing directed at a younger clientele, to diversify our market range from Mico and Kyra. Along the way, we included gowns and occasion wear to our FRAÎCHE line, and received a great response in our first season. We are expanding the FRAÎCHE line to include other types of clothing and accessories.

Q: Why bother with an online store?

A: We began our online operations in response to our customers' requests. As the demand for online shopping grows, we decided to launch our online store to showcase our clothes. We also recognize the importance of having an online presence to generate greater awareness for our stores.

Younger people in Singapore are increasingly acquiring tastes for the finer things in life, such as quality clothing that is designed to accentuate the feminine form. At our stores, we strive to bring that to you through the web.

Q: Where do you get your clothing?

A: We design and manufacture our clothing in our factories. Before the clothing even arrives on our racks, the designs have usually been redrafted several times for functionality, fit, and to emphasize the female silhouette.

Q: Do you take returns?

A: Yes, we offer a 3-day return policy by mail or in-store. However, we encourage our shoppers to come down to our stores to try out the clothing to get a better feel of the cut and fit.

Q: What is your role as resident blogger?

A: I maintain the site's content and keep you girls updated on the latest trends via my fashion blog!
